Better Breathing Foundation is a not for profit foundation supporting research on chronic lung diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, lung cancer and cystic fibrosis.

The Foundation supports research students in their education needs to conduct high quality research in Australian Universities on chronic lung disease.

Better Breathing has developed an innovative digital health technology platform to promote education and exercise training to communities with chronic lung disease. The platform, consisting of a patient app and clinician portal, is called “mobile pulmonary rehabilitation” or m-PRTM.

The project aims to develop and test the effectiveness of this platform and to conduct research to evaluate the effectiveness of m-PRTM.

WEF has provided funding to support a PhD student to lead the project.
