The Sisters of Charity Foundation provides holistic and personalised support and financial assistance to community initiatives that benefit people who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage, and marginalisation. We do this through five key programs: Community Grants Program, Tertiary Scholarship Program, the Asylum Seekers Housing Program, Modern Slavery Housing Program and Community Care, which provides support to remote and rural communities.

Our primary focus is Social Justice and equity. Our programs focus on the members of our society that are overlooked and under-represented. We provide compassion, care, and practical assistance, so no one is left behind and no one falls through the cracks.

We are committed to responding creatively to society's current and emerging needs with the history, values, and charism of the Sisters of Charity guiding our decision making.

The Tertiary Scholarship Program was launched in 2012 offering university scholarships, with TAFE scholarships added in 2017 to widen reach and meet the needs of OOHC leavers. The Foundation provides scholarships regardless of gender, cultural or religious background, educational institution, or field of study.

Waratah Education Foundation support the Tertiary Scholarship Program.
